Bachata

Te Extraño – Extreme
Seeing the choreography that La Alemana y Jorge did to this song for the first time made me want to learn Bachata and whenever I hear this song, nothing can keep me from the dance floor.

A Donde va el Amor – Daniel Santacruz
A great, if sightly anxty, bachata.

Obsesion – Aventura
I think there is some sort of law that requires that any party with bachata feature at least one song by Aventura.

Corazon Sin Cara – Prince Royce
Nice cheesy lyrics and a great chorus make this a really fun bachata. I just wish “Prince” Royce would stop saying his name in the middle of songs.

Por un Segundo – Aventura
I love the change of tempo in the chorus of this Aventura classic!

El Malo – Aventura
This is another sensual bachata which makes for a great night of dancing.

Lamento Boliviano – Toke D Keda
A different type of almost rock-style bachata which makes a nice change from the Aventura dominated bachata regulars.

Bachata en Fukuoka – Juan Luis Guerra
I remember being in a salsa club in Fukuoka when this song was launched in Japan. It brings back a lot of great memories.

Bachata Rosa – Juan Luis Guerra
Here’s another bachata from the spectacular Juan Luis Guerra which shows that bachata doesn’t have to be as hot and heavy as a lot of modern songs.

Stand By Me – Prince Royce
I love the original version of this song and the it was pure genius making it into a bachata number. It’s also interesting to hear bachata sung in English for a change.

Is This Love – Jose Manuel
A reggae classic with a nice bachata twist. Bob Marley would be proud (if he danced bachata).

Home – Michael Buble
I love the original song and this is a great and very romantic bachata version.

Te Quedas Te Vas – Mojito Project
Now here is a very new sounding bachata that blends a very passionate beat with some modern sounds.

Te Perdiste mi Amor – Thalia feat. Prince Royce
As soon as I heard this bachata I loved it. Great vocals from Thalia and Prince Royce and a sensual bachata beat.

Darte un Beso – Prince Royce
There’s s great ukulele intro to this hit by Prince Royce with a relatively fast beat and some nice tempo changes which makes a very fun bachata.

Solita – Prince Royce
Another smooth bachata with some extra sweet lyrics from the uncrowned “king” of the genre, Prince Royce.

    Hey man,

Stumbled across your website while scouring for playlists for my brother in law’s Cuban themed 40th. Great to see someone with such a passion for wonderful latin music- and a fellow country man too! Good luck in your future endeavours in nutrition and hope you’re enjoying living in Barcelona!

    Best wishes,
